EBC 2011 RACE PROGRAM
The purpose of the Club Race Program is to promote involvement and encourage participation by the
membership in all aspects of our EBC sailing program. Through the interaction of experienced
skippers, the Novice Program, the Advanced Program, and the Junior Program, the intent is to develop
and maintain a framework to teach, learn, share, and enhance each participant’s sailing knowledge and
skills, whether it is for recreational or competitive enjoyment.
Club racing is a program that centers on the Dock Series and several trophy races.
The Dock Series will determine four of the eight skippers who will advance to the Flying Scot Club Championship.
The "Commodore Devere Cowles Memorial Series" will
determine the remaining four skippers
who will advance to the Championship.
In addition to the Club races there is a series of IFSC races,
the IFSC Men's and Women's River Championship,
and the EBC Regatta.
The Novice Class is invited to crew in the Club races and compete in
the Flying Scot EBC Novice Club Championship and
the
IFSC Novice River Championship.
